"As a Petit Trianon lover I could not pass it up after noting how often its title appeared on the source lists of other books on the PT. As a history of the small chateau, nothing tops this. The only flaw is that as a reproduction of an 1885 book the plates are not as clear and sharp as in the original. Still, we are very fortunate that Historical Print Editions of long out of print books, published by the British Library, are now available to all."
